The Camino de Santiago is a pilgrimage trail that dates back to the middle ages. The most popular route takes 30 days of walking, from Sant Jean-Pied de Port in the Pyrinees to the city of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia. People travel this path for many reasons, and throughout the years I have found myself pulled repeatedly towards the Camino. 

In this journal, a work in progress, I document my trips through the Camino, what I see, who I meet, and ask myself, as an atheist, what keeps me coming back?
